In the Yukon you'll find some of Canada's best fishing for lake trout, northern pike, Arctic grayling, rainbow trout and Arctic char. Join us for an ice fishing and snowshoeing adventure on one of the beautiful lakes in the Whitehorse area. Snowshoeing is one of the best ways to enjoy the tranquility of the Yukon wilderness and to photograph the stunning Yukon landscape. Depending on conditions, our guide will choose the ideal lake for your ice fishing experience. After a short drive, we leave our vehicle parked by the lake shore and snowshoe the surrounding area to our first spot. With the help of an ice-auger, we will drill a hole in the ice. The ice on a lake can be from 30 cm to 1 m thick! Hot drinks will be available to keep us toasty. Take a look around and enjoy the beauty of a winter’s day while waiting for the big catch!
If we are lucky and catch a nice trout your guide will fillet it and cook it on the fire. At the end of our day we return to Whitehorse with a record catch of great memories.

  • I flew to Whitehorse only for 1 night in the hope to see the Aurora Borealis (Northern Lights). It was a risk as they don't come out every night, but it paid off. At approx 3am the lights came out and it was spectacular.
