Base Manager
Scott has joined the team here at Arctic Range Adventure as the Base Manager and Property Caretaker of The Aurora Center. He will be taking care of the equipment and property so everyone can have a comfortable and safe experience. He will be maintaining the snowmobiles, starting the fires, clearing the snow, maintaining the buildings and being on site in case of emergency.
Dubbed ‘Counter Culture Nomad’ by Rick Mercer and a member of the list of ‘Guitar Gurus of Canada’ on CBC, Scott is coming here after a prolific carreer as an artist. As a Guitarist, banjoist, mandolinist, trombonist, arranger, publisher, promoter, photographer and audio/video engineer, Scott has toured the country, taught, promoted concerts, published texts, live broacasted concerts and operated a live music venue over the past 25 years. He has been on faculty with Vancouver Island University and Mount Royal University and founded and operated Asylum for Art, an academy of music and live music venue in Calgary, Alberta. He is looking for new horizons in the rich community of The Yukon and working with the talented Yukoners towards new projects.
Scott and his 5 hound travelling companions enjoy traversing the outdoors, either on sled or foot/paw. He is eager to explore the vast and untouched outdoors of The Yukon's mountains and rivers in the years to come.
