Alejandro Penco
Lead Guide
My name is Alejandro Penco, and I’m originally from Argentina. I grew up in the city but always dreamed of living close to nature. At 22, after working in the United States, I returned home determined to pursue that dream — to become a Park Ranger and dedicate my life to protecting the natural world I longed to be part of.
For the past ten years, I’ve been studying and working as a Park Ranger, devoting my time and energy to environmental conservation while exploring and appreciating the landscapes I help protect. I’ve served in some of Argentina’s most remote and under-resourced regions, including El Impenetrable (Chaco) and the Jungles of Salta.
I thrive on physical challenges and enjoy testing myself in extreme climates and conditions. I have a deep passion for wildlife and plant life, particularly birds and wild cats, and I’m equally fascinated by Indigenous cultures and First Nations of the Americas, as well as their holistic understanding of sustainable resource use.
I feel a profound connection with the Earth, and I care for it with genuine love and respect. Let’s set out to discover wildlife and adventure!
