Tagish Wilderness Lodge - Husky Trails

Breakfast at the lodge. Today we will truly get to know our dog teams and learn the unforgetable beauty of Yukon’s backcountry during a full day out on trails. The swish of the sled’s runners and the panting of the wonderful huskies and the sound of your own heart beating with excitement are the only sounds you’ll hear as we leave the lodge behind for the Yukon wilds. We’ll stop for a trail-side lunch cooked over the open fire before returning to the lodge. Overnight at Tagish Wilderness Lodge.

Tagish Wilderness Lodge - Call of the wild

Now that we’ve gotten our first good taste of the ‘call of the wild’ in Yukon’s backcountry our huskies will take you out on another full day dog sledding right after breakfast. The vast landscape sorrounding Tagish Lake offers great photo opportunities to capture your once-in-a-lifetime adventure in the Yukon. During a trail-side lunch you’ll enjoy the company of your dog team and you can share stories of the past days with your fellow travelers. Back at the lodge you’ll give a hand to your Musher guide one last time taking care of your dog teams. After dinner we’ll take you on a guided excursion to view the Aurora Borealis. Overnight at Tagish Wilderness Lodge.

Relax this morning over breakfast before saying goodbye to the Lodge. Around noon, the ski plane will pick you up and bring you back to Whitehorse during a scenic flight above the landscape you visited with your sled and trusted teams of huskies over the past days. We had the most amazing trip ... . Absolutely well organized. Weather was on our side and Reinhard is such a skilled driver and his wildlife spotting skills are phenominal.

Naseera Koya

I flew to Whitehorse only for 1 night in the hope to see the Aurora Borealis (Northern Lights). It was a risk as they don't come out every night, but it paid off. At approx 3am the lights came out and it was spectacular.

Leese D

We enjoyed the Wildlife Preserve and Takhini Hot Spring tour and also we were very happy to see Aurora on our last night.

The overall tour was excellent. Good guides, well educated and pleasant.
